There is no better book than the Bible. Truly the Bible is the only norm and source of Doctrine. The Bible is God's inerrant Word. The Bible is Truth! Now while many will debate these assertions...I will not. This is what I believe and I will not apologize for that. What I find wonderful is when Science, without knowing it, makes a bold proclamation for the Truth we find in Holy Scripture. This point (one of many I'm sure) is that It's a Child in the mother's womb. It is a Baby. It is a human being. It is a person. However you would like to state it, a Baby in the womb is a person not just flesh that happens to be growing; not a tumor in the womb. As Dr. Seuss would say "A persons a person no matter how small."
So...what has Science done to show this? As the headline to the article pronounces: "Newborns Cry in Their Native Tongue." This is an article by CHARLES Q. CHOI, LiveScience. SO WHAT!
Alot, actually. Here is part of the article I find fascinating. "From their very first days, the cries of newborns already bear the mark of the language their parents speak, scientists now find. French newborns tend to cry with rising melody patterns, slowly increasing in pitch from the beginning to the end, whereas German newborns seem to prefer falling melody patterns, findings that are both consistent with differences between the languages. This suggests infants begin picking up elements of language in the womb, long before their first babble or coo."
Wow. The Baby in the womb is learning! The Baby in the womb is using its brain. The Baby in the womb is learning something complex. The Baby in the womb is a living, breathing, THINKING, Human Being!
This reminds me of another miracle...the Holy Spirit entering a Baby in the Womb. "For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy." (Luke 1:44) Not only is the baby in the womb a human being but it is a human being loved by God; a human being that the Holy Spirit enters and creates faith.
